Deep Sea Mining is an incredibly complex and debated issue. Supporters claim that mining cobalt will accelerate our transition to an electric vehicle future (good!). Opponents cite a complete destruction of life on the seabed and the surrounding marine life (bad).

It’s a deeply complicated problem, both at the deep seabed level and at the organizational level above, and, much like the trip to the bottom of the ocean itself, the economic demand to explore deep sea mining is increasing in pressure.
